  • Spinning class kick my butt last night! Lets rewind. So, I’ve made a pledge to go to the gym 4 times a week for the rest of August. I thought ok I’ll ease myself back into the routine and just do some cardio on the elliptical machines and some really light weight training. Since I accomplished this feat on Monday and Tuesday, yesterday I had the brilliant idea to go to a class, and then after class I spent another 10 minutes on the elliptical machine. Not only that but I wasn’t very hungry when I got home, so I did all this freaking exercise on an empty stomach! Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that I got some exercise in and I felt great immediately afterwards, but today I am really tired.

  • The gym ... I stopped for the month of August. Sad. Bad.

  • Props on getting started. I keep sayin Im going to go to the gym....and I never do..I say i will go running..still dont

  • Make sure you eat before you exercise - not right before, but have something in your system when you exercise. Your workout sessions will be more productive and you'll feel a lot better.

  • Exercise without eating = bad. Your body needs protien (and carbs) to rebuild itself. Rebuilding takes energy.

    But at least you're doing mostly cardio. Your body can recover from that more easily than heavy wieght lifting, because you're not tearing up as much tissue.
