I saw two outrageously funny shows last night. I couldn’t believe that channel surfing actually produced something worth watching! Both shows were on the FX Channel which I love to watch for old King of the Hill episodes when I get home from work. Anyways… the first show I saw was called Starved. A somewhat sick and twisted comedy about people with eating disorders. Now I know that eating disorders are a serious issue, but if we can’t laugh at something then the only other options are to cry or be indifferent. I would rather laugh. Besides if you had seen the policeman pulling over a Chinese delivery guy who was on a bike for a trumped up charge so that he could get the food for a bribe and then puke it up. Well, doesn’t sound that funny when I type it. But it was pretty amazing the lengths the characters would go to binge eat and keep it a secret. However, the common bond between all 4 characters was even funnier than thei individual issues. They all attended a self-help therapy group that would use shame to change their attitudes.
The second show I saw, which came on right after ‘Starved’ was It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This show is about 3 brothers who own an Irish Pub. On the episode I saw last night their one waitress brings a black guy from her acting class to see where she works. After some silly conversation the brothers decide to hire this guy to promote their bar. Of course things go awry because the guy is gay and turns the bar into a happenin’ gay bar. 2 of the brothers a geeked and want to keep making bucketloads of money while the other brother and the waitress can’t believe they have lost their minds.
I love comedy and these 2 shows had me bustin
a gut for the whole hour! At any rate. These 2 are woth a shot. Both are brand new, I just lucked out on seeing re-runs of the premier episodes. Well… I gotta go get ready for work. Have a great day all! TTFN.

I got to admit they do sound pretty damn funny!
Hmmm… I don’t have cable because I simply am not home long enough to watch it but now you have me thinking twice about that. I might be missing out on some great shows…
