  • Update

Remember this? I’m happy to say that I’m now at 2.5/3. Thanks to my second job at Sweet Lorraines I can finally breathe a sigh of relief over my financial situation. Physically I haven’t lost any weight, but I’m healthy and feel more confident in my body image. Metnally… LOL I’m still insane. But with the help of new friends I definitely have more ups than downs.

Eric and I were supposed to go horseback riding, but in November they are only open from Frid-Sun. LOL. Of course I didn’t find this out until the last minute. We ended up walking around Royal Oak. I did get to go to Ewe-Nique Knits, this really awsome yarn store. I had been wanting to go there forever, but could never make it when they were open. It took us a while to find it, but I was determined.

    Friday 11/10/06

Eric and I actually made it out horseback riding. LOL It was a crazy day, but soooo much fun!!! My horse was named Rocky.100_0477

That night after work, Lisa and I went downtown to Oslow. By day it’s a sushi bar and by night a dance club opens up downstairs. Great DJs!!!!

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Danced my ass off at a costume party on Saturday. Didn’t have a costume though. LOL

I’ve had so many blasts from the past over the last week. First I was contacted by an old friend from High School. Gotta love MySpace. Then on Saturday I saw two people who had both gone to my Elementary school and High School!!
Plus I also saw a guy from one of my classes at MSU!!! That’s 3 people from my past in one night!!!!

  • Knitting Like a Fiend

The lace-patterned scarf is on hold right now. I have about a foot done, but it’s taking too long cause I’m using small needles and the yarn is really fine. I’ve since finished 2 more scarves and I’m now working on this:

  • It’s my party and I’ll knit if I want to.

Well it’s that time of year again. I’ve been knitting up a storm for the yearly craft fair here at work. So far I have 8 scarves and 1 hat. LOL I’ve beentrying to learn more advanced stuff than just garter stitch (knit each row). So far, I’ve cabled a scarf, ribbed a hat, and tried stockinette stitch (knit a row, purl a row).

Nop pics I’m sorry to say, but here is what I’m going to try and work on next.branchingALT

Here is a close-up view. branchingCU

I’m going to get the yarn today at lunch. I got this pattern from knitty.com I really love this site. It’s helping me to branch off from the now mundane fun fur scarves, plus I’m realizing how many millions of different yarns there are out there. Exciting times. LOL I’ll post some pics of my stuff before the fair.

    You Are A Romantic Realist

You tend to be grounded when it comes to romance.

Sure, you can fall hard… but only for someone you’ve gotten to know.

And once you’re in love, you can be a total romantic goofball…

But you’d never admit it to your friends!

  • I’m Back

It’s been sooo crazy the last week or so. I was super busy at both jobs, but now it has slowed down again at my main job. So now I can relax a little and blog again. LOL I know you guys missed me.
Anywayzzz… lots happening on the home front. First my uncle Jake – my grandfather’s brother passed away. He had been very sick and it was only a matter of time. Then on top of that my grandparents were burglarized yesterday!!! They are shook up, but not too much was taken. First, because the only way in and out was through a window (they have security doors), and second we think that they suprised them in the act when they came home. The one good thing is that after Saturday (the funeral) they are immediately looking for a new place to live. The live in a bad part of Detroit, and not because they have to. When my mom was growing up, the neighborhood was full of promise, but over the decades it has rapidly declined. Even when I was a little kid I would stay with them in the summers (late 80s early 90s) and it was fairly safe for me and granny to walk a few blocks to the corner store. I’m just glad they weren’t hurt. Thanks for letting me get that craziness off my chest. I’ll be back soon.
