  • Weekend Update

Friday: Left work super early. Later that night saw Jen's new place. Great vibes there.

Saturday: Barbequed with mom and pulled a few weeds. I have a shit-ton of work to do in my garden. Only one plant from last year came back, but I have four of it with 4 different colors - red, pink, white, and redish pink with white edges.

Sunday: Went to the Operah House and saw the Alvin Ailey Dance Troupe. What a great show!!!! Those bodies!!!! Later saw the grandparents. Even later went to DEMF. I rolled my balls off and danced so much I sweated out my hair-do. LOL

    Monday:Took it easy. Saw X-Men 3. Decent story-line. Great action. I give it 3 out of 5.

That's it. I had a nice relaxing weekend and holiday. How was yours?

  • You Are Elmo

Sweet and innocent, you expect everyone to adore you. And they usually do!

You are usually feeling: Talkative. You've got tons of stories to tell. And when you aren't talking, you're laughing.

You are famous for: Being popular, though no one knows why. Middle aged women especially like you.

How you live your life: With an open heart. "Elmo loves you!"

Wow!!! I never realized that I was like Elmo. This is sooo me! I love to talk and laugh. But I think Middle aged men like me more than the women. LOL

P.S. Thanks for all the great comments on last years garden!!!

  • Thanks!!!

Thanks for the advice!!! I'm gonna stick with it and see where this thing goes. We've been talking, you know the "Getting To Know You" phase. LOL

In other news... The Detroit Electronic Music Fest also known as DEMF is this weekend. And the weather is supposed to be great!!!! I just want to see Richie Hawtin live once in my life.

I also plan on preparing my garden. Here's a pic from last year. This year, I'm going to try a more structured look with the taller plants in the back and shorter in the front, but I think I'll keep the colors mixed.

Well... that's it for now. Have a good one!!!

  • Advice Needed

So I went on a date yesterday and I had a great time. We got ice cream at the Dairy Queen. LOL Met the guy at dance class, which was cool. Later though, I found out that he's 40. He doesn't look anywhere near 40. I originally guessed 28-30. By the way I'll be 25 in July. Does age really matter? Have you ever dated a man/woman significantly older than you? How did it go?

  • Rain Rain Rain

I'm kinda sad so see the last of the rain. It's been off and on for over a week now. Today the forecast said starting tomorrow for the next week we're gonna have tons of sunshine. Don't get me wrong I'm a total sun-whore, but I love the rain too. I find it very relaxing. Plus I've had the best sleep of my life cause I like to leave the windows open and listen to the wonderful sounds of the rain as I drift off to sleep. Oh well...

    Winter's Rain by: OpenWelts

I can never answer, when they ask me what time
of the year it is I like the best, because I love
the clear skies of the summer and the blossoms
of spring, I adore the winter rain falling hard
against my window and autumn's gold on the ground.

But when it is any other season, I know I miss
winter and the rain. Because I love hearing it tap
just outside my room and remind me nature exists.

I miss drawing the curtain in the early morning
and smiling as I could play
    connect
    the
    dots
with all the raindrops still balanced so wonderfully
on my window, and the rainbows that are emitted
when the light hits them, reflecting beauty.

    Rain is so cleansing and
    to step
    into a puddle
    makes me feel so youthful
and free, and shaking the raindrops from my coat
just makes me smile as I snuggle down with a mug
of hot chocolate, in my most comfortable chair
and grab a book to read.

    You Are a Lemon Margarita

Sour, tangy, and overpowering, you tend to give people a jolt back into reality.

While you don't sugar coat things, you're honest - which is actually quite refreshing.
