    You Are A Romantic Realist

You tend to be grounded when it comes to romance.

Sure, you can fall hard... but only for someone you've gotten to know.

And once you're in love, you can be a total romantic goofball...

But you'd never admit it to your friends!

  • I'm Back

It's been sooo crazy the last week or so. I was super busy at both jobs, but now it has slowed down again at my main job. So now I can relax a little and blog again. LOL I know you guys missed me.
Anywayzzz... lots happening on the home front. First my uncle Jake - my grandfather's brother passed away. He had been very sick and it was only a matter of time. Then on top of that my grandparents were burglarized yesterday!!! They are shook up, but not too much was taken. First, because the only way in and out was through a window (they have security doors), and second we think that they suprised them in the act when they came home. The one good thing is that after Saturday (the funeral) they are immediately looking for a new place to live. The live in a bad part of Detroit, and not because they have to. When my mom was growing up, the neighborhood was full of promise, but over the decades it has rapidly declined. Even when I was a little kid I would stay with them in the summers (late 80s early 90s) and it was fairly safe for me and granny to walk a few blocks to the corner store. I'm just glad they weren't hurt. Thanks for letting me get that craziness off my chest. I'll be back soon.

  • Free For All!!

Thank god I work at a place that gets such great perks!!! I got to see John Mayer and Sheryl Crow last night for free. That's right... FREE!!!!!

There were 8 of us and we all rode together in a limo.100_0314

It was truly a blast. Free drinks, free ride, and a free concert. You can't get much better than that.

    concert 4[1]

It was really cool cause the show was at the DTE Music Theater (formerly known as Pine Knob which is an outdoor venue.

    concert 3[1]

    concert 5[1]

Sheryl looked really thin. And John Mayer was definitely the better performer last night. I really enjoyed his guitar playing. He actually inspired me to start practicing again. LOL

  • Holiday Weekend Update

Friday: Got off of work early and went to the dentist. A++ on the teeth. Then went to the gym. Then got my hair done.

Saturday: Went with Mom and Buddy (my grandfather) to the Detroit Football Classic.

    100_0279

We were right next to Florida A&M's band.
    100_0282

Eric Benet sang the National Anthem. 100_0287 100_0288

The game was O.K., but the best part was the battle of the bands. FAMU''s band was 10 times larger than Delaware State's LOL.

Later saw Idlewild. A great movie!! 2 thumbs up from me.

Monday: Barbequed, worked out, went to Pontiac's Arts, Beats & Eats. Really cool. It was my first time going. I would call it a combo of art festival, taste fest, and music fest. LOL Some of everything in one!!! They even had rides.
    100_0309

There was a ton of different food vendors. Even Rainforest Cafe!!!100_0310

There were some really talented artists there. This guys paintings all had piano keys featured in them. 100_0311

This was a really crazy statue that drew everyone over to the artist's tent. I wonder why, LOL. 100_0312

The artist who created this statue used all kins of items to create it. The eyes are made of spoons and the body is made from a motocycle gas tank. 100_0313

Note: We were celebrating my granfather's 76th birthday. That's why we took hime to the classic and then out to eat.
