  “The Second Insight puts our current awareness into a longer historical perspective.” Through the Second Insight we can extend our view of historical time. It shows us our proccupation and therefore lifts us above it. Our preoccupation with our purpose on earth, in the universe. 

  
  

  
  

  “This awakening represents the creation of a new, more complete worldview, which replaces a five-hundred-year-old preoccupation with secular survival and comfort. While this technological preoccupation was an important step, our awakening to life’s coincidences is opening us up to the real purpose of human life on this planet, and the real nature of our universe.”

  
  

  
  

  This insight helped me put my current discontent into perspective. Of course these kinds of changes will take time. But I hope that analyzing over and over again will help me put it all into perspective. What are your thoughts on this book so far?
